Introducing the ultimate road trip to the heart of Scotland

The North East 250, Scotland’s newest driving route has been billed as the ultimate road trip covering everything for which Scotland is famous for, and given that it takes you into the heart of Moray and Speyside Ace taxis tend to agree with them.

Launched this winter, the 250 mile circular route through Speyside, the Cairngorms, Royal Deeside, Aberdeen, the East Coast and the Moray Coast gives the visitor the opportunity to travel fantastic roads with stunning scenery while also being able to explore castles, wildlife, coastal villages, stunning beaches, golf courses, mountains, forests and distilleries.

And all easily accessed by air to Aberdeen International airport or train to Aberdeen, Elgin and many points along the route.

Behind the idea is Guy Macpherson-Grant, who owns Ballindalloch Castle a stunning and impressive family castle 23 miles from Elgin who felt it was time that we showed off all the spectacular scenery, bounteous wildlife, globally renowned food and drink, traditional warm hospitality and activities galore along this route in the north east of Scotland.
